Most teams split their RB duties. They do that because trans know RBs are pretty interchangeable. Some ( like Bell ) get the lions share of the work. That leads to more touches this more overall production. That doesnt make them substantially better. It just means they get more opportunity . Its weird all the Steeler fans here who say they dont want to pay Bell big but then in the next breath get upset when you say they're right.
the two points are not incompatible. you can say Bell is one of, if not, the best backs in the league and still think he's not worth the money he's trying to get.

Sure. And you can also say he's very good yet only marginally better than the 20th best back in the league. Running back is just that way

This times a million. The best ones are nice to have- you can also get 80% of that with a day 2 pick. It's probably the least consequential on the field at a given time. Bell is not a HR guy on top of it so idk.

Yes, but with the shelf life of a running back and the workload he carries why not make him earn it in the later years....

It’s amazing one person vs 20. That one person is douche enough to think he’s right still

Yeah, but I am just telling you that the FA market is not a very rational place. We have people in this very thread defending it without realizing it.

They can defend whatever, but until they show rational thinking, or show us they own an NFL team, who gives a fuck about someone's stupidity. Cause we all know, you can't fix stupid.

I mean honestly....if Bell or one of his nut huggers thinks he's so great....those incentives only prove how great you are.
So if I were an owner, simply put......Bell, pur your money where your mouth is.

Think about it, he gets his 17 million a year for 5 years what's to say he survives 5 years....
He's already had two major knee injuries.....
Pot helps with pain......
Or perhaps he just tanks it because he's got his guaranteed money.

Right now, yes, worth the money......
Next year???? 2 years from now?????
Is this a 70 million dollar chance your willing to take????

Now if some douche wants to be stupid and hug Bell's nuts......

Hey, fuck you, you pony up the 70 million....I'll bet you feel a little different if its your own money.

Good for him standing up for himself.

He sees the Steelers good days are behind them.

He might get to a winning team before his career ends now.

Huh ? What teams in the AFC are so much better than the Steelers right now ?

So if Justis is right, the Steelers offered a bunch of 1 year deals basically to Bell, lol.

And why not???
His career could end tomorrow.
Plus he's a 2 time drug offender.......2 times that we know of.

absolutely, im partial to fournette, but barkley is closer to bell

Barkley would be a better fit in our offense.
Be interesting to see 6 games bell on the giants and 6 on the Steelers and vise versa.....
Bet Barkley could beat bells numbers.
