IMO this statement is hardly a fact and extremely short sited when you take in account all a back does towards the success of an offense.
still beat to hell, and 17mill is nuts

Steelers need to run this hip hopper into the dirt and sent him packing. It's not like they would win the SB with a me-first dude like this anyways.

Good for him standing up for himself.

He sees the Steelers good days are behind them.

He might get to a winning team before his career ends now.

One of the most talented players the Steelers have ever seen don the black & gold... Pretty sad situation that they couldn't find common ground for contract negotiations. Both sides have validity to their arguments. But in my mind Bell unraveled himself this offseason. He continuously upped his demands. First it was about contract guarantees and claimed it had nothing to do with the per year numbers, then it was about the contract length, then he went bold and proclaimed he wanted $17mil per year. Bad faith negotiating folks. And what kills me the most is his routine media humping where he plays the victim card.

They have until 4pm this Monday to get something finalized. I'm not optimistic about it happening. I think Bell destroyed any chance of continuing his career in Pittsburgh. I would gladly replace his workload with a younger, cheaper, team-oriented, and more drama-free option. Not implying that his talent is replaceable, but rather that offense is built to be a contender and wouldn't fall off the map without him.

But if they do get a contract finalized... I pray that its not a death sentence of 5+ years.

$17M for a runningback who is going to be 27 in the offseason and has 1,500 touches (inc. receptions) already? Bell is fucking nuts, take your money now.

The highest average is $8M per... so you're basically getting 2 years of salary at the very top end UP FRONT, guaranteed now. The highest guaranteed is $18M not counting rookies so wtf are you really asking for?

What a moron. Really true what they say about most athletes in the NFL... these guys are dumb as fuck.

Bell will get his money he's looking for, just not by the Steelers. Some dumb team will give him what he wants and be screwed when he starts to slow down or have chronic injuries that keeps him off the field.
