That doesn't come as a shock to me. I think you would take the Zodiac killer over Lebron. And he's probably 75 years old.

was actually considering the age factor, though LeClown's arrogant shenanigans no doubt grate on me...

i mean, just being real, the guy can't play forever...

as much as the NBA, the sports media in general, etc might wish it otherwise...

Sure he won't play forever. But he's likely to be one of the 2 or 3 best players in basketball for the next 3 or so years. Otto Porter is not. And they are both being paid the same amount of money.

Imo, unless he changes tactics, whomever he signs with is likely signing him to a 2 year deal with player option after one.

So, it's not like whatever team he goes to is signing a 33 year old to a long term deal. Plus, he seems to do a good job of staying in shape, so his decline will likely be gradual rather than than the "falling off a cliff" kind.

The only thing that would concern me is that he has been freakishly injury free. I can't even remember the guy spraining an ankle. Makes me wonder if his luck can hold up.

Kobe was clearly on the decline well before the farewell tour. He never really recovered from his Achilles tear.

Lebron has never been injured in his career. He doesn't even get minor injuries which kinda insane.

That could change tomorrow of course. But there is no reason to believe he couldn't provide 3 more seasons of high level basketball.

Mildly surprised at the Rockets because of what they'd have to give up to clear space. Not surprised at the other 3.

Yeah, the Rockets would have to gut their teams practically and CP wants to get paid.

James to to the Sixers means he'd be able to stay in the EC and continue the path to the Finals.

IMO.

LOL And you took my post seriously. :L

Nonetheless, name one top free agent in the last 20 years that has signed with the Lakers besides a washed up Nash, Payton, and Malone.

Nash was traded to the Lakers and Malone and Payton both had something left in the tank.....they helped the Lakers get to the Finals.

Derp, derp.

Just remember that rings are the only way to judge a players career.

Robert Horry (7) > Kobe jellybean Bryant (5)

Here are a few other examples: Steve Kerr (5) > D. Wade (3), Jason whitechocolate Williams > John Stockton (0), Adam Morrison (1) > T-Mac (0), Greg Kite (1) > Karl Malone (0), Kurt Rambis (4) > Charles Barkley (0).

You're forgetting the role players and superstars part.

I have no idea where Lebron is going to go but to call the Sixers a rebuilding team is.... odd.

There are likely going to be a 45+ win team with their 2 best players being effectively rookies. Arguing that they are a rebuilding team because their No. 1 pick this year, who hasn't played any games, is still unknown is just strange.

If I were forced to put some odds on it I would put the odds at something like this.

3-2 - Stays in Cleveland
2-1 - Goes to the Lakers
4 - 1 - Goes to the Sixers
8 - 1 - Goes to the Rockets
15-1 - goes anywhere else.

I'm tempted to throw some odds up for the Spurs but I think it is just a tad too unlikely to warrant that.

SA would be the best spot imo.

LA, Leonard, and Pop. They'd be sick.

So basically, because I'm supposed to believe that only teams with what you personally label as "superstar" players have a chance to win, yet think otherwise...Means I'm not thinking objectively.

OK, then.

And you claim to be a basketball coach in real life...I just wonder what you teach your so-called players if you don't think they have a chance without that so-called "superstar" player.

May not always agree with him, but I'd take Lance if I needed a coach over yourself.

I just don't see the Spurs making that move. Not their style.
