I think Randle is gone.....maybe traded by the deadline. Kuzma looks really good and Nance has played well since we drafted him.
I agree. I think luke is tiring of Radle. I think he is who he is, good player, never going to be an allstar caliber player.

Wouldn't be surprised if he develops elsewhere.....still think he's a solid Zach Randolph type player but we can't keep everybody if we want to get a max player or 2 next summer.

Think he tops out at 15-16ppg and 7-8rpg.

I am beginning to think the same way DJ. Especially if Randle starts bitching about playing time and starting status which he is doing recently. Magic and Luke won't tolerate that me-first attitude as Magic did with Russell and the Swag.

2 and we would have to get rid of our put 1 of those youngsters on the bench.

Actually, that wouldn't be too bad. There's a logjam at PF that needs to be broken up. I read this morning that Randle's jimmies are rustled over not starting. If he stays that way, the Lakers might want to look into moving him. Maybe unload the Deng contract along with him.

With the potential of Kuzma, I agree. I like him off the bench and Nance starting.

They either trade him at the deadline or just let him walk.

Just about the time we trade Randle, will get a rash of injuries at the PF position and then we will all wish we had him back.

My theory is that Randle or Ingram is going to be trade bait in February. In February, some one with an expiring contract that they have no hope of resigning, will take on the Deng contract in order to get a valuable young player like Randle. By then the Lakers will have paid most of this year's contract on Deng and the sucker taking him will be stuck for only two years.

In the mean time - the present business at hand is the Lakers game tonight -I thought the Lakers had lost and suddenly, they have come back from a 20 point deficit and almost evened it up. I was wrong - there is some game left

Clarkson is a keeper. He is really playing well.

That game last night should have been a win. We simply looked flat overall and we didn't play D consistently enough to make things matter. I hope this is not a trend for this year.

Clarkson had 24, KCP on his return had 20 along with Kuzma, and Randle had a 11. Ball didn't get into double digits in scoring. We didn't play D and gave up nearly 70 points in the first half again and we didn't score much either. This is not good but I guess it is part of the growing process.

I agree. The defensive lapses are appallingly bad. Got to stop this.

A world of difference when Julius engages and plays with passion.

Yep, Inimical. The kid can play in beast-mode if he wants to. If he ever gets it through his head that to be great, you have to play in beast-mode EVERY game and not just when ya' feel like it, he might get the starting spot he has been whining about not having.

I gotta say, I was expecting more from Ingram this season than we have seen so far. I was expecting him to be the leader of the team, and he seems comfortable just going along for the ride.

And, I understand Randle's frustration as well. The guy worked really hard this offseason to get in his best shape ever only to be a bench player. Also, I thought Nance's energy and hustle were great for the 2nd unit. And, he's a guy that can score in spurts.

Randle has always been more of a game flow scorer, and coming off the bench where your minutes are limited, he can't get into the flow of the game. He's not a streak scorer like Nance is.

Just my :2cents:

It was fun to see these young guys gut out that win last night.....but one thing that I don't like, is that Luke does the Golden St thing where everybody switches on pick and roll defense. The only problem is that we don't have a Draymond Green, so our big guys end up getting taking advantage of, play after play. As for Lonzo, he gets a bit TOO passive for my liking at times. I like that he stays within his game, but there are times where he goes long stretches without shooting the ball

I think Lonzo is just feeling out the NBA game. He will make adjustjents once he has more games under his belt. He is a pass first PG. I like players who may have on off night shooting, but do the other things like rebounding and assists vs players who always only look to shoot.

Jason Kidd's Rookie Season: 11.7 ppg, 7.7 apg, 5.4 rpg

Lonzo Ball So Far: 11.5 ppg, 9.0 apg, 9.0 rpg

Lonzo will likely be just fine.

Beating the Wizards was a nice win for these guys. Getting a win over a projected playoff team, especially doing so by coming back and making big plays down the stretch, should be a great confidence booster for the kids.

It was especially nice because they shut up a team that was doing some trash talking going into the game.

Now they need to follow it up with a good performance vs. another projected playoff team. They don't even necessarily need to win, just make it a competitive game.

I agree TJF12. He'll figure it all out and then he will be deadlier than he is right now. I like how he can go passive and flow with the game or he can go ballistic and score 29-30 points on a the drop of a hat. We have another test tonight against Toronto. We could easily be 3-2 before long.
