KCP is having a nice outside-inside game with Lopez and Randle right against Toronto and we have the early first quarter advantage.

Kuzma with the hammer dunk. This kid is going to be a star in the league.

Josh Hart is playing some serious minutes tonight and he is holding up his end of the bargain.

We have opened-up an 11-point lead here in the second. This team looks damn good tonight.

Brooke Lopez is a force in the middle and he can be fairly consistent at it.

Toronto has made a game of it by coming back to within 6 at the half. I'd love to stick around for the second half and may two wins in a row.

Typical Lakers

Build a lead and collapse and let the other team back into the game.

I know they are a young team, but it's still frustrating to see. They need to develop a killer instinct.

Well...its kinda shocking they were up that much to begin with. They're playing really small tonight. I don't think I've seen Bogut or Zubac. When Lopez sits, its been Nance, Randle, and Kuzma in the interior. Combine that with Ball being a terrible defender and Ingram being surprisingly average for someone with his length, you get some very very poor defensive play. The only way this roster is gonna win games is through shoot outs

Two items still remain unchanged: 1. We fail to play consistent transition defense throughout the entire game. Taking possessions and quarters off is just killing us and Luke got so upset, he pulled the starters early. 2. We fail to finish games strong.

As has already been mentioned, we simply wuss-out in the second half and especially the fourth quarter. That has not changed a great deal in the last five years. That game was very winnable. Perhaps Luke should pull a page from his colleague with the Rams-accountability goes along way to contributing to a culture of winning.

More work to do.

Against Utah, we again failed to play defense and a rookie killed us with three-point shots and hustle shots that were nearly embarrassing. WE do not know how to put a body on people especially in the post and our outside shooting just plain sucks.

I agree. We need an outside shooter and a true center.

The Luol Deng contract is just killing us as we can't find a trade partner, we can't get rid of this guy without a substantial cap hit and salary loss, and he takes up a roster spot getting huge bucks to sit on the bench. There is no way Luke and Magic are going to play this guy because his production is so poor on both ends of the floor and we have the young guy's playing time to be a better option for the team development and progression than play Deng's geriatric ass. He doen't even offer any benefits in mentoring and coaching aspects that the Lakers could use as one article I read has claimed.

The stretch provision provides some help and maybe it is the only reasonable option. To trade Deng, ala the Mosgov and Russell trade, Ball and/or Ingram will be involved and I don't see Magic and Pelinka even considering that scenario. If I were Jeanine (and I am not) I would demand Deng to go live with short buss as a condition to receive further contract payments. You made that stupid trade, you live with him! That dumb ass has hamstrung this franchise in the worst way imaginable and the present regime is making the best of this nightmare!!

Damn fun game to watch against the East-leading Pistons.

The team actually looked like they love playing with each other.

The kids are learning as we are playing D finally-but not consistently yet. Our O is coming around as well as both Randle and Kuzma are catching fire. We seem to be playing to the level of the opponent instead of having a killer instinct or swagger to demolish lesser teams that beat us like Phoenix and teams of that ilk. The kids will get there I pretty sure and maybe we can add a Okafor next summer. Maybe.
