I didn’t see the game but I do know that Lonzo was going up against Patrick Beverly and that’s pretty much the best defensive point guard in the league it’s good for him to experience that right away

Agree. Beverley is hell on experienced point guards. So he's going to be especially tough for 19 year old rookie point guards.

Lonzo started off weak in the Summer League too.

"Experts" were already calling him a bust. Two weeks later he's MVP

The Lakers are behind as the first hand winds down here in Phoenix. We have a lot of people putting up points but no one accelerating above the pack. Clarkson and Ingram of 10 each.

Oops, I spoke too soon as Ingram releases the beast and now has 14.

The Suns had the worst opener loss in franchise history and they always seem to play like champions when the Lakers come to town. The lead is three at the half.

Not much D being played by both teams as we scored 70 in two quarters and the Suns 73.

The lakers need a defensive presence in the middle. Lopez is more of a forward IMO

We have come all the way back to take 1-point lead in the third.

We are shooting 52% but we have 11 TOs and we are getting beat on the boards.

Well. It has been a long week and I'd love to hang around for our first win but I have to move along. Later.

Nice win, but they need to start playing some D
Or at least rebound. But i dont see the Lakers defense getting better any time soon. But if they play middle of the league defense they will win a good amount more games then last year.

There were moments where they played really good D though. Definitely an improvement from last year.

Ball came one assist away from eclipsing LeBron's record of the youngest player earning a triple double in a game. We had some consistent scoring over 7 guys with Ball leading the way with 29 points followed by Ingram with 25, Lopez with 19, Clarkson with 17, Kuzma with 15, and Nance Jr with 14.

This is a big change over last year and the previous years with the crappy Lakers teams. I really like the talent level and the energy with this year's Lakers. Things can only get better and yes we def need to play more consistent D. The youngsters will learn one way or another.

Having seen the suns get absolutely destroyed by the clippers I can tell you we definitely won't be the worst defensive team in the league this year.

I think we'll get 1 max player next summer and that may be all we need. 2 and we would have to get rid of our put 1 of those youngsters on the bench.

I think Randle is gone.....maybe traded by the deadline. Kuzma looks really good and Nance has played well since we drafted him.
