Eagles should have taken Collins at the very least with that 7th round pick
The guy they did pick is a project and will be practice squad fodder for the next couple of years

Better to have spent the pick on Collins and call his bluff
If he has a paycheck dangling in front of him it would be hard to resist that all year and if Eagles drafted him they keep him out of the hands of the opponents for a year

Collins grew up in Baton Rouge, and many players in that area are either Saints or Cowboys fans. So chances are this was a team he rooted for. He had a choice of where to play and chose the best team he could near his home.
