Warriors averaged fewer points per game against the Cavs.

Pace matters. Having trouble finding points per 100 possessions for each series, but GS averaged 6 more points against OKC, but the pace was much faster in that series. I would be surprised if points per possession favored Cleveland.

I understand the pace was much different but that was dictated by not only the Cavs' defense but the Cavs offense in either slowing the pace down or lack of turnovers.

Either way...numbers wise and on the court the Cavs had a better defense. If you want to go by the sheer eye than both did a good job.

In the OKC series the Warriors averaged 106.1 ppg and shot an eFG% of .515.
In the Cleveland series the Warriors averaged 99.9 and shot basically the same with an eFG% of .512. So the Warriors really didn't shoot worse. That says more about the Cleveland defense controlling the pace, forcing turnovers and not letting GS get out on the fastbreak where they are so dangerous.

Like I said, maybe comparable, not better.

Better defense gives up less points...Period

No matter what the pace is the way defense is judged is how many ppg you give up...the cavs gave up less....except it and move on

Kyrie - 27.1 ppg, 3.9 apg, 3.9 rpg, 2.1 spg, 0.7 bpg, 2.57 to's, 46.8 fg%, 40.5 3pt%, 93.9 ft%.

Stephanie - 22.6 ppg, 3.7 apg, 4.9 rpg, 0.9 spg, 0.7 bpg, 4.29 to's, 40.3 fg%, 40.0 3pt%, 92.9 ft%.

Kyrie led Stephanie in points, assists, steals, fg, 3pt, and ft percentage.

Stephanie led Kyrie in rebounds and turnovers.

They tied in blocks.

Thoughts...?
Irving out played him.
