What I found funny was how he talked about how anyone can score now since the handcheck rule came in place a decade ago... until the reporter asked him if it benefited HIS career.

Then it was all, "no it doesn't really change things that much"

I like the way it is now. Sure the touch fouls are annoying, but it's much better than letting the players constantly mug each other like they do in college.

I'd rather have my superstar complaining about non-calls rather than generating fake fouls by flopping like a fish out of water. But hey, that's a Heat/Bucks fan for you.

And what he said makes sense. Great players would be great players in any era under any rules. However, with no hand-checking, it's pretty easy these days for anyone to get to hole. Add in the restricted arc under the basket, and things are even easier for the offensive player.

Offense gets fans into the arena, thus the NBA won't change. I'm okay with a slightly more physical brand of basketball, but it's not as overall aesthetically pleasing to most fans to watch.

I'm with you, but I think that's the minority. I think most people would much rather watch a more free flowing up and down the floor game.

Okay not a great analogy, but you know exactly what I mean. You can't deny that NBA players are playing softer on defense to avoid flops and foul calls. Perhaps players in the past did use their physicality to better keep their man in front of them, but what's wrong with that? Last time I checked no one complains when LeBron drops his shoulder into people on offense. Physicality is very entertaining.

Try living in wisconsin and being a fan of the bucks. its difficult. not much to look forward to. I really started getting into the NBA in the early 00's and was never a huge lakers fan. I saw LeBron play a few times and was interested.

i know that is probably the worst sin in the world to you. but 1.) that takes away absolutely 0 credibility. 2.) not everyone was blessed enough to live in city with a great NBA team.
