Looks like Francois is getting paid like Chris Baker -- a backup. Which begs the question about who will seize the starting role at that position. Perhaps it might be Cofield, who could come back if he gets healthy.

Francois' cap number this year is $2M. Between that number and the $8M in cap savings from Bowen and Cofield and the $3M or so upward adjustment in our cap number, that's a net $9M in cap space cleared. I thought we had around $13M before that, which would take our cap number to around $22M. But I'll be happy to be wrong in knowing that we have $28M in space.

Central Coast now myself. Gotta love Cali, tho a lot of traffic down that away. Lived in LA for about 10 years, mostly Southbay area.

I work in LA but live in the IE. Quite a commute but Metrolink is a lifesaver. The Central Coast is a really nice area. Sure beats the rat race of LA.

Cofield may be done. One reason why he was cut is that he can't pass a physical. I wouldn't count on him.
