He is very effective getting open down the middle of the field.

Because no other receiver wants the middle.. But he is extremely effective you are correct. He can get open down the sidelines (as has) as well.

I actually think Hawkins makes this team and they only go 4 RB this year and 2 TE.

WR: JE11, Cooks, Hogan, Dola, MM, Hawkins.
RB: Gills, White, Lewis, Rex
TE: Gronk, Allen (Fleming as the big run TE)

Now I think we can see a RB or WR sit each week based on game planning. Also having Hawkins adds depth in case of injury. It seems every yr we are entering a few games with just 3 WR active. Plus it might keeps these guys healthier down the stretch.
