I thought the rumors were Cole was considering taking a backstage role. And they can't really fire Mauro, I guess they could just pay him until his contract runs out.

I think JRs role will be calling an occasional match and doing stuff like Preshows. I'd be surprised if this impacts Mauros role. Mauro may or may not be there but that's unrelated to this...

Ideally Mauro, Philips, and Graves are on one show and JBL is part of the other.
