Jets schedule private workout with Marcus Mariota

It’s no secret the Jets are a bit unsettled at the quarterback position, so it was no surprise when General Manager Mike Maccagnan said yesterday they weren’t ruling out any options.
Likewise, it’s perfectly normal that the Jets have scheduled a private workout with Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota on March 28, per Dom Cosentino of NJ.com.
Maccagnan and other team officials went to Oregon last week for Mariota’s pro day, and will do the same when Florida State’s Jameis Winston has his March 31.
For all the interest in the two top quarterbacks, the Jets’ sixth pick seems to be the floor through which neither would fall, though it’s more than likely neither gets that far.
