Nobody said anything about them adding any notable FA's, everyone knew that wasnt happening but McFadden and Terence Williams dispel your stupid statement? Keep up the good work there genius.

Don't know the complete financial details of either contract because both were absolutely F signings, and most analysts agree. Terrance Williams? $17 with again ridiculous up front cap? Really? I really didn't think you Cowboys fans would post anything about that because it was completely embarrassing. And no surprise the Cowboys are low on cap room with Romo sucking up the roster.

But we give Terrance Williams 4 million a yr. Although I think that's a fair price, we are talking about a guy that catches 40 passses a yr. A 4rth option on a running team. Those DBs signed for less than that. I think

Carr's deal is basically a one year guarantee and nothing more really, Cowboys could have offered the same value . They almost had to sign Carr and more importantly probably Claiborne even if he played half the season

Great coach. I'm a Huge UK fan staring at that matchup. Both teams are good. I remember my Cats going into Dayton in the late 90s and getting beat by Oliver Purnell.

Guess that could be your first truth here tonight, he or I would both be an upgrade to that line

I was certain either Carr or Mo would return.
I think Nolan changed that. A lot of people wanted change in the secondary for some time, well, here it is. No need to hold on to players that simply werent working. They both came in the same year and played a lot of minutes, and have been arguably below average save 2016.

I'm not sure we will miss any player lost besides Leary.

The quantity of players lost is my concern. IMO Nolan is a step down unless the change of scenery is good for him.

Of the guys we lost, this is the one that really hurts IMO. Can't understand why we wouldn't pony up for Mo. Unlike the Seahawks Capologist, most people realize the Cowboys could sign or resign as many players as they like and make the money work. I think this is a case of Stephen deciding to fix all cap woes in one season. The team has been drafting lights out, and has done a good job of adding low dollar Vets the last few years. I like the big picture

I wanted us to at least get Mo back. And that's only because I feel like he owes us since he's been such a huge fucking bust considering what we lost and missed out on in trading up for him. But it is what is. I'm not gonna sit here and fret over losing a secondary that gave up 34 points in the Divisional game. Some Cowboy writer on twitter made a quip about health having more interceptions than Carr and Claiborne the last three seasons. It's funny because it's true. They gave us quality play last year but not enough big plays.

I think the thing that I'm the most angry about is the Cowboys should have completely overhauled the secondary years ago. How long have PDay and I been asking for a complete overhaul of the secondary? They are three years late. The guys we've had in the secondary during Marinelli's tenure didn't know how to properly play the Cover 2 and hardly anybody made big plays. As Manster pointed out, the amount of players lost hurts, but just consider this: For years, Carr, Wilcox, and Mo were on most Cowboy fans' shit list. Then they just happen to play well in a contract year. I don't think that's a coincidence. And I don't think any of them would have continued playing well after getting their money. It's probably gonna suck short term, but will be for the best long term.

You scared Bro? That's what it sounds like. Watching the Cowboys OLine squash the Legion of Overrated the last couple of times they played must have you worried. That, or the cleat marks Zeke left on Kam Chancellors

This may be cherry picking, but can I just point out that Richard Sherman is only 28 and has 30 career interceptions. Barry Church, J.J. Wilcox, Morris Claiborne, Brandon Carr, 29 career interceptions combined. Interceptions aren't the end all stat, but this is pretty bad. We need playmakers.

Jerry Jones can barely afford his usual supply of viagra with the cap on that team. The Cowboys were not going to sign ANY of their free agents let alone any other notable ones this season. This should be ZERO surprise to anyone with half a br---.... k that's a bit harsh, a quarter of a brain.
Not exactly. We get $5M for Free retiring and $5M for Romo if we cut him pre-6/1. $10M gets you the best FAs this year. Plus we had a couple of bucks from the restructures. So what they did was they continue their recent ways of being a little less recklesss with the cap than in the past and not blowing every available cap dollar in March. They will pick up some bargains between now and the Summer and they will extend Martin. They didn't lose any player that hurts them. It's the cumulative effect of all of the players that is concerning. So they need to find a marginal safety and CB to replace the ones they lost. no big deal.:2cents:

If I am following what you are saying, I tend to agree. We have one player in our secondary that we can't afford to lose in Jones and he's not going anywhere. If we lost a guy like Sherman from an average at best D I would be worried. Most of those guys that were not resigned had discussions on this board about cutting them or keeping them last year or prior years. So again...I don't get the concern. If we don't add any talent via draft or the rest of FA I will worry. As of today I kind of like what we did. I was all for keeping Mo and think it was a big mistake to let him go based on the way he played last year (Pro Bowl level IMO), but I get why it was risky with his injury history

I agree I wanted them gone years ago, but in the long term it will be better for this team. They have to get better players. I don't think that should be too hard to do. Claiborne will go done as one of the worst draft picks at his draft position in Cowboy history. He did not play like a top ten pick at all.
