Hopefully, they'll be over the jet lag and the roster is pretty much set and they are at home. I think they'll come out a little chippy in light of the Clip joint with that ex-Celtic bum Doc Rivers encouraging the franchise to cover up banners. Little a-hole has way too much green in him to be in the building. So I am with you two gents.

Yay, a basketball game at a normal time! No Kaman tonight. Still dealing with a stomach issue. Other than Kobe, everyone else should be available. I think Johnson may get the start at the 4 tonight.

This is make or break time for Harris and Kelly if the Lakers decide to only carry 14. Landry will be cut. I still think that the Lakers carry 15 to start with so Harris and Kelly both make the final cut.

They got off to a slow start than began playing some D and caught the Jazz and passed them. I like Wesley Johnson, Henry, Hill, Gasol, even Stevie, Meeks, and Farmar is bad to the bone!! I too like what I see. This team doesn't need Kobe right away. They'll be pretty damn good without him and he can take his time and get totally healed and then return. Let's see if they sustain this effort in the second half.

Wow, Farmar is the real deal and he is not the tentative, unsure Farmar we saw under Phil. Has all the tools and plays great D as well. Went for the jam at the end-got it blocked. I like what I am seeing from these guys. And the free-throws. These guys are making free-throws like no tomorrow. Last year they couldn't buy one. Yep, we get the Jazz again on Friday but I see a much improved team with a nice mix of youth and athleticism and they are starting to play team D as well. This is going to be a fun year.

I'm almost more excited for this season than I have been for any in a while. Seems strange since this is the first season in a while that a deep playoff/championship run isn't expected.

I'm excited to see what some of these young guys can do and who will likely be sticking around as part of the re-build!!
