Who gets into a pickle between 1st and home?

Or more accurately, who PUTS a player into pickle between 1st and home?

Such a bone-headed play, I don’t even know where to start. I have a hard time believing I would even see this level of stupid at a little league game.

I would love to have heard Jon Miller make that call, though. He LOVES calling out stupid on the field when he sees it.

I have watched a lot of the MLB. That defensive play (or lack there of) was not an isolated incident. Defense in the major leagues is pathetically bad.
Shifting defenses cause problems. Player's lack of ability causes issues. Fundamentals must not be taught or stressed early in player's lives.
