Is Leonard Fournette the clear first pick in rookie drafts?

I'm considering moving up from 3 to 1. I'm still trying trying to figure out who they'll pan out

he is the first choice for sure... But I think 2 and 3 are pretty damn good too... I would not trade up from 3 to 1... Unless it is cheap, like a kicker...

In standard yes. In ppr you could argue Corey Davis should be #1 (I would take Davis).

I don't think the gap from 3 to 1 is that big in standard or ppr though. There's a pretty impressive top group of guys in this rookie class so I'd be careful about paying too much to move up.

Personally id rather have Mixon and McAffrey over Fournette, so no, i wouldn't dream of trading up from 3

Fournette and Mixon are 1a and 1b for me. If it is a redraft I would go Fournette. Dynasty probably Mixon.

i like what @Trudem is bringing here - I think I'd stay pat and draft Mixon/Davis at #3, hoping that McCaff goes #2

So then sticking at 3 is probably best for me.

However I do think the guy at one is considering McAffery and Fournette and I know the #2 owner is considering Davis.

I may be able to get Fournette at 3.

It's a deep dynasty and I'm deep at RB:

L. McCoy
DeMarco Murry
Lamar Miller
S. Ware
M. Lynch
C. West
P. Perkins
D. Booker
C. Simms (trying to trade him to the D. Martin owner)

In PPR I have them Davis, Mixon, Fournette. In standard I guess Davis might fall to three and Mixon would be my #1.

Sure wouldn't trade much tho get Fournette with that group, might even forgo all 3 of them and take Davis if he's there. .. he should, only crazy people take WR's with strong RB's on the board ;)

How would you feel trading down from 1 to 3? Knowing the person picking 2 is going Davis?

I'd feel like P.T. Barnum, there's a sucker born every minute, in that instance, 2 suckers, the guy taking Davis and the guy trading with you.

I'm see them as 1a and 1b, but I'm stilling leaning Fournette as 1a even in dynasty. Waivering some though.

I hope Fournette is successful. Football in Jacksonville right now is downright depressing. I hope the Jags turn it around. Mixon is damn electric though.

Stay put or even trade back a spot and draft Cook hes still the most talented back in this class imo he has plenty of experience being productive behind a bad oline. Cook and Mixon may not get the volume Fournette does this year but i'm pretty sure they end up having better careers than he does. I agree that Corey Davis is the top receiver in this class, but i'd take the top 5 Running backs(Cook, Mixon, McCaffrey, Fournette, and Hunt) over him even in PPR leagues.

You are deep at RB, but they are all old. Perkins could be you only startable back in 2 years.

If I were you, I would stay at 3 and take whoever of the big 3 RBs fall. Davis would not be a consideration for me at 3. I bet you can get a solid WR in round 2.

Also, not sure what you look like at QB, but Pat Maholmes is going to be really good. If your starter is older (Brees, Brady, Ben, etc.) I would strongly suggest looking at Maholmes in round 2.

Well, we all know by now that there is rarely such thing as a "clear cut" #1 when it comes to rookies (Zeke in Dallas being an exception). Being conservative, I'd stay where you are at 3 and see what comes to you. Any one of the top 5 guys can be difference makers. .... quite a bit of talent in this years crop.

I wish Kamara didn't have a washed up has been and a dude from Flint ahead of him.

He's my favorite of the top guys longterm.

I know nothing of these kids' college stats so take this for what it's worth.
I think it depends on the landing spot.

Cook and Mixon seem to have been handed the keys to the backfield in Minny and Cincy respectively.
Fournette and McCaffery look to be in committees (at least for 2017).
