Not to mention his record setting rookie campaign.

Yea

He didn't just have a decent rookie year. It was well above average even for a top pick.

But his inconsistent play is an overall issue.

Last season can be racked up to he was hurt.....and he still played.

If he didn't.....people would rip him. He was in a can't win situation.

Yes, you picked passer rating over QBR as I said.

On what do you base him being average in 2020?
Thanks for proving it is an inability to read

I feel like Cousins is the best comp
Cousins and Eli are/were both way better than Baker. Not even close. IMO of course. You think if Cousins even at his advanced age was on the block for $18M it would have taken the Browns to eat all but about $5M before someone would agree to take him? And even at that point give up so little? I'd be shocked if people actually thought that

After BM's playing days are over maybe he can get in the toilet business.

I even have a slogan.

Take a BM in one of my custom crappers. It's a touchdown every time.
I'd be afraid his toilets would be inconsistent.

Baker's QBR was 23rd best his rookie year. Now that we have been told that is the only stat that matters we can clearly state that Baker had a bad year in 2018. Also noticed that same season that Trubisky's QBR was 3rd in the league. I had no idea he was elite.

Check out Kirk's first four years and then get back to me.

Eli...statistically was not an excellent qb. He will ride family name and two super bowls to the HOF (maybe)

There's no doubt Eli will get into the HOF. His name will help him without question. But in todays pass-happy league his 57,000+ yards & 366 TD's are HOF numbers. And no 2x S.B. winning QB has ever been left out. Don't mention Jim Plunkett. He didn't win 100 games or multiple S.B. mvp's.

Here's my summary of things.

BM is the definition of average. When I try to compare him to another QB the one I keep thinking of is Eli. Who was exactly .500 for his career.

He's not a top tier QB. But he's not at the bottom tier QB either. Somewhere in the middle.

In no universe is he a bust. You can say he didn't live up to being a # 1 pick, which I think is true, but he's not an all out bust.

He's not as bad as some of his haters are saying. And he's not as good as some might think. And keep in mind I'm part of the BM haters club as I was disappointed in my team drafting him in the first place.

Comparing Baker to Eli is an insult to Eli; Baker is/was a much worse QB.

QBR is vastly over-rated.

He set a rookie record for TD's.

I mentioned Eli because he's the only QB recently I can think of that was .500. Was Eli better? Without a doubt.

Hard to compare eras but Eli was never a statistically sound qb. Obviously his resume smokes Baker as it stands. But again...his first four years were filled with a lot of picks. He led the league in picks the year his team won it all.

I wouldn't compare Baker to him just because we are talking a complete resume and as it stands it doesn't look like Baker will get to that level at all.

You didn't say his first 4 seasons unless I missed it. He only started one of those . If you think Baker compares to a guy who would start one out of every 4 years I'd agree I guess.

Favre threw tons of INTs as well. Still a great QB.
