First thing that I notice: Roy Hibbert is an overrated defender also

Seems pretty valid as Chris Bosh is no where to be found on this list

These poor fellows cannot even figure out it is not in order. Roy has 90 blocks and has the lowest percentage scored against until you drop down to Larry Sanders (has played 7 games for MIL).

Larry sanders is a beast he had the best percentage last year. Gets no love. But he fouls a little bit

Yeah, Roy has West and George up front with him. And Granger is also a great defender just beginning to round into form. Not really a fair contest. That Mahemi is even beginning to play well. Too bad Scola is not exactly a stopper.

I got a question about the tracking stat page. If you just click the overall category and don't sort for a specific stat category, is the list of players a default listing or a rank of who averages out the best in all categories? It's the latter, right? That's the only thing that makes sense.

Interesting tidbit: Taj Gibson ranks higher than Joakim Noah on defensive impact.

I think it ranked who has been shot on the most from 5 feet. Also yeah odd huh? That's why I don't like defensive player of the year award or the first and second team votes because it's not always the best players that year

Taj is an outstanding Defensive player... but keep in mind Noah is a starter, so he goes up against the opposition's best post-players more often than Gibson (who comes off the bench). Also Joakim has to compensate for Boozer's pathetic Defense, while Taj (when he's on the floor) often plays alongside Noah / Mohammad.

Those stats cannot and do not take "presence" under the rim into consideration, nor can they rate a player's intimidation factor.

Hibbert most definitely is NOT over rated.

Actually...they kinda do. Those stats are derived from the SportsVU player tracking system, a camera system that tracks individual player movements during the game and through use of complex algorithms (and black magic) turns it into a meaningful stat used for evaluation.

Clearly Eric Bledsoe best rim protector in the league...

No, but wow to Durant and George though.

I filtered it for 20+ games and 20+ minutes.
