Basketball's been like this for a long time. Look at the Bulls teams of the 90's. Best player of that decade was Jordan so they won the titles. It hurts the game as there is no parity but it's the way the game is.
With the exception of '96, they were pushed to the limit just about every year, though.
91 Bulls - 15-2
93 Bulls - 15-4
96 Bulls - 15-3
97 Bulls - 15-4 (no series went to 7 games)
Only 2 tough series they had in the 6 years were against the Knicks in 92, and the Pacers in 98.
No other team made it to 7 games, and only the Jazz I believe made it to 6 in 97/98.

Suns made it to 6 also in the 93 finals when we had Barkley.91 Bulls - 15-2

I feel like everyone has forgotten how much of a shit organization the Warriors were for DECADES before our run right now. It seems like everyone assumes we've been some dynasty for a long time. GTFO.
I sat through so many damn 20 win seasons it's ridiculous. Draft pick after draft pick being a bust. Then the Warriors got sold to a legit owner, who hired the right people, who drafted the right people and look what happened.
I mean, just look at the damn teams that the Warriors had before Steph. They had one season of We Believe where the Warriors made the playoffs. Then they traded away Jason Richardson for Brandan Wright. Then they blew up the team.
Again, people who actually know what the hell they are talking about explaining why Cavs-Warriors dominance is kind of normal for the NBA

yah....Basketball by its nature destroys parity
yah....
i mean- when has the NBA ever had parity?
star power wins- no sport gives the team with the best players more of an advantage.
as long as the NBA has been around the best players have dominated the league.
How many years in the leagues history have more than 3-5 teams have had a legit chance to win a title on Day 1 of the season?
