I thought he threw really well yesterday.

Big frame, live arm, I don't give a crap about the decline at Penn St, I think he stood strong in a very tough scene in Happy Valley. I believe with the correct coaching staff and not rushing him he could very good in the league.

He was quite impressive at the combine. Some mocks had him going 2nd round, but I think he'll sneak into the first. If he drops late first, someone may even grab him to groom. I honestly could see the Chiefs making a hard play for him if he drops mid round.

That'd be awful. He sucks. Its not his fault that he sucks but he sucks. Penn St really gave him a bad fit. Hackenberg might be a QB in the league someday but not for at least 2 years. Nobody should be taking that risk in rd1.

Round 1 is extremely early, and even in round 2 his only taker might be Houston. If they pass on him, he could slip to day 3. He showed what most assumed; he has tools. However, he has to show those under duress before teams will believe that he isn't shell-shocked from the past 2 years.

I agree. I think he is going to have a lot of the same issues Eli Manning and Blaine Gabbert had coming out. Whoever is drafting him needs to have some really tall WRs and a really solid running game.

I think he is pretty squarely the 4th QB off the board. Prescott had too far to climb to remove the Tebow label, Briskett also has bad footwork and developmental issues, Cook is just meh in every way.

There is some real upside there. You could get a Manning or a Gabbert or a Tannehill. But you aren't getting an NFL QB right away and you might not even get one on the first contract.

The big takeaway I had from the QB combine was that Wentz is the guy. Level of competition isn't going to matter much IMO; he has the footwork, the arm, and the mobility.

If Texans don't move on him in the first two rounds, Eagles could very easily target him then, since they have no 2nd round pick since Chipper gave that up for Bradford!

Watched a lot of him since I have a kid at that school and I just don't see it. He had a few good moments here and there, but really had no consistency and I really didn't like his mechanics. Didn't feel like much of a deep threat most of the time. Didn't he complete under 54% of his passes last year?

Throwing well at pro-day doesn't change the fact that he completed 56% of his passes over his college career (53% his final year).

For reference:
Andrew Luck - 67% (over 70% his final year)
Cam Newton - 66%
Andy Dalton - 62%
Ryan Tannehill - 63%
Johnny Manziel - 69%

If you're only completing 56% of your passes in college, it's not going to be pretty vs NFL defenses.
