Thanks, so far it's not nearly as painful as I was led to believe, but I do have a pretty high pain tolerance.

I will get the Shingles shots as soon as this is over. Wife will get hers today.

I got them August 3rd, on my fkn head and face. I'm miserable.
It feels like ants are crawling under my scalp and on my temple and around my eye. Itches constantly, and I have had a headache on the left side of my head for 30 days.
Dr. put me on Prednisone for 2 weeks and some kinda horse pill that begins with a V also for 2 weeks.
My dermatologist gave my about 15 cortisone injections into my scalp and temple and around my eye. No help.
Just gotta ride it out man.

When my father in-law was on his last days fighting cancer, he got shingles as the final indignity. It was bad and it still haunts me. I made sure to get the vaccine when I turned 50. Good luck and do get the shot when you can.

Just got my shot this year. I have poo-poode it for years.
1) I never get virus infections (really)
2) I have a very high tolerance of pain.
3) I had chicken pox as a kid. one pox and no other symptoms as my sister was devastated.

I called my brother and sister today, to tell them to get the shots, brother who is the knuckle head of the family already got his, sister who was went to college git one shot and then never got the booster, so now she's going to go start over.

I had a friend get shingles and it was a painful experience for him... Took a long while to go away, and I guess it's from the chickenpox virus, so anyone can get it who's had the chickenpox because the virus lay's dormant forever in your body... Hope it's not a bad case, if you have it ...

It's, not as bad as i first thought. The pain isnt too bad and it only hurts for about a minute then it subsides, this occurs about 3 times an hour. The constant tingling is driving me nuts though.
