I believe that he's sold part of his share and is working on selling the rest, and that the other 99.3% (or whatever it is) of the Nets have already welcomed the entity that bought half of Jay-Z's tiny piece. It's not like the dude ever really owned jack shit in the first place.

He was a small minority owner with the Nets to begin with and I believe he was required to sell his shares once he started the business of acting as a sports agent (Roc Nation Sports).

He also had to sell his 1% stake of the Barclay's center arena as he was part of the original investment group that built it.

So I think he's got no further relationship with that organization or building. He does represent NBA players like Kevin Durant with his agency now so he still have deep ties to the league.

That is what I was infering. JayZ shouldnt be allowed to represent any athlete since he has ties to racist organizations.

According to Don Sterling fans racism isn't a big deal. Why are we making a big deal about this now?

A common tactic of racists is to point the finger at someone else to excuse their behavior. Are you trying to tell us something? What does this have to do with Sterlings punishment for being a racist?

Not quite. I have stated numerous times already that Sterling got what he deserved, but the NBA needs to avoid this double standard and lay down the law to avoid future incidents like this.

What double standard? Did Jay-Z say something racist?

Did you read the links that I provided in the OP?

Yes I read the opinion pieces. Have you ever been to their meetings or do you always take other peoples opinions as your own without finding out by actually being there? However, I still trying to find out where jay-Z said something.

The 5 percent nation is not an organized group, so they do not have an official website. Check this out
Five Percent

Ever heard of guilty by association? How about actions are louder than words? If I see someone wearing a white hood, Im going to automatically assume they are racist.

The difference between the two is that Jay Z's comments weren't hurting the league. If athletes didn't want to play for Jay Z, sponsors didn't want to sponsor Jay Z's teams, etc. and there was a public outcry against something like this he would've been punished as well. But, if something isn't hurting the NBA the way Sterling was hurting the NBA they probably won't be punished similarly.

Thats why they call it assuming. if someone is wearing a white hood the could be in the KKK or they could be a priest from Spain.

I know about the 5 percent nation already. What I am asking you is did Jay-Z say something?

Has been seen wearing a FPN medallion many times court side. I believe is still a 1% owner, and he is definitely a league-certified agent.

He doesn't have to say anything...openly following or admiring the FPN is racist. Sorry, but there is no way to spin this.

First of all, Jay-Z is not an owner on any level in the NBA, so the entire thread is pointless.

Second of all, the FPS is still a recognized religion. Did we jump on Mitt Romney as a mormon when they have a racist belief about blacks?

It never fails. White man gets caught being racist, and everyone tries to find someone black to hang next to him, EVERY SINGLE TIME.
