Yes, but did they use them more because their running game was inefficient or because they were doing so well??

They used Ty Hill because they couldn't do anything else at times. And even then they had to force it.

No one was going to duplicate what JC did. KC did run the ball less, but Hll took a lot to the house and Kelce was a major red zone target. Hill made the receiving game more open because teams already had to account for Maclin.

Maclin didn't do jack and missed a bunch of time.

Depends on the matchup. Some teams can shut down that screen game. There's been rumblings this has been missing from the saints offense and it's affected Brees. Carroll got in Payton's head bad in 2014 and he cut half the defense and traded Sproles trying to have a defense like Seattle. Nvm it was his crappy clock management against NE that caused them to have to go to Seattle in divisional. He just felt like he was entitled to a sb because he was suspended.

On Perine-Kelley,

If the Redskins were all hopped up on starting Perine this year they would have drafted him before the 4th. That doesn't mean he can't win the job by performing well, but he's not the early favorite just because he's shiny and new, he's an underdog because he doesn't know the offense and he doesn't know the league.

That's the point. He drew the defenses opening things up for Hill when he was on the field.

Not every RB that's drafted in later rounds is intended to be a starter. Lots of teams draft for insurance and depth. Baltimore drafted Dixon with no intention of starting him that year.

It's an inaccurate point. Hill had nearly half of his total targets in the 5 games Maclin didn't play in. Hill had his most catches in two of the games Maclin didn't play.

You have to factor in that no one had any film on him.

Baltimore started T West, Allen, and Forsett(who ended up getting cut) before moving to Dixon down the stretch. The point was just because a RB is drafted beyond the first round does not mean they have to start.

You realize we try very hard not to just use a crapton of colorful adjectives and cut you down all the time, but when you completely disregard and don't acknowledge being proven dead wrong, and continue to try to prove your point using an entirely different set of circumstances, it just screams to be called out as BS right? You make it very hard to have logical, reasonable discussions with you

So what's that got to do with what I said or with Perine-Kelley?

What? No film on Tyreek? Which weeks?

You said Tyreek produced because defenses were focusing on Maclin but the actual data shows Tyreek produced best with Maclin out of the lineup all together.

McAffrey will prove to be a playmaker/hybrid. He will be very effective as a slot receiver and he might eventually migrate to the position most snaps.
Cook will be the best pure RB from this draft if healthy.

Yes McCaffrey is one heck of a receiver, but think the best pure RB will be Mixon, if not him then Fournette. I do think Cook could/will be good but he really landed in the wrong spot, so it's going to be tough for him.

Sometimes it takes the offseason to study players. When players are hot without a extended break they are hard to stop and in the moment. Once that break hits it's a different story. Everyone will be gunning for him next year. NFL teams do not have time to study film during the week on players and many players don't care to take time to do that stuff. And Kelce made it hard to focus on Hill because he was often unstoppable. I had Kelce on my team so i was paying attention to KC games. A fast receiver is often hard to stop in his first season. It's called sneaking up on teams. I'll say the same about MThomas who will be on radars next year. Only a few teams will take the time to study a new player. For instance, Denver who gave Thomas his only bad game. I think Hill also struggled against them as well. But many teams don't take the time to do it because most players don't want to study film in between games. The offseason is where teams start studying.

Now also some players catch fire early enough where there is time for teams to take notice. Week 7(when Hill's run stated) leaves little time for that.

The NFL is demanding enough and half the league's players are entitled brats.

It was a example. You made it appear Washington was gonna take away from Kelley with this RB because they drafted him. I was using Ravens fourth round pick last year as an example that it does not mean the player see's the field.
