This is chump change for him - now and for the majority of his career after his rookie contract.

So all this crap his butt lickers say about him making a sacrifice for the team and that the team should sacrifice for him is complete and total bull shit.

Being in the NBA is a privilege, not a right - not something that is just GIVEN to you.

He should be glad and thankful to the organization for drafting him when so many other teams overlooked him for some “red flags” in college. The Heat have done and continue to do most of the sacrificing by even listening to him ask for more money - when he SITS out so many games for no reason - and as of recently, half asses his way through games and doesnt even try on defense.

He either needs to re-sign with the Heat for something close to what he would have made had he not opted out - or go elsewhere to a team who will overpay for him

Not sure how many teams "overlooked" him. He went 5th in the draft. The Cavs picked Lebron at 1, seemed like the best pick at the time...he's pretty okay. The only other picks in front of Wade were Melo to Denver, Darko to Detroit, and Bosh to Toronto. Wade wasn't exactly a mid-to-late 1st round pick that was a diamond in the rough. He does need to realize that he isn't a max deal player anymore and that the Heat have a bright future ahead of them, so long as he cooperates. We'll see.
