How good will the Warriors be next season?

Steph Curry had an amazing season as he led the League in scoring.

Let's assume Klay Thompson can come back and stay healthy, it's not like he's a high flyer.....he shoots the 3. Let's just say he can resume his career and be healthy next season. Okay? Thanks.

Wiggins has turned into a good defender and he can be a solid #3 option on offense.

They have Green who stirs the drink for this offense, let's not get caught up in his lack of offense.....that's not his role.

They have Minny's 1st round pick to add to Wiseman, a talented big man.

Jordan Poole leads a pretty solid bench that includes Paschall and Bazemore.


How good can they be?

It’s all about what Klay is like off of injury in my opinion. I know you see him as a shooter but don’t forget that he was a hell of a wing defender before injury.

Um, they still have Friday and should beat the Grizz and get the 8 seed.

Depends on who they get in the draft and if they add any vets to that bench. They could be better than Utah and Phoenix but not as good as the Lakers or Clippers.

I think the Warriors will likely move up to around the 4-5 seed. Unless there are some massive shifts in the West, I can't see what the Jazz or Suns have done as being flukes. Denver is going to be in the convo. Lakers and Clippers are still there. The West still has a lot of quality teams so I don't think the Warriors just leapfrog everyone.

But that being said the Warriors, regardless of seed, will be a real challenger in the West. That's about all you can ask for given Steph and Draymond's age and Klay coming off massive injuries.

I don't know that we can project that Klay will be back and close to what he was at this point. It's just wait and see really. Two full seasons lost. It could take a good deal of time for him to get back close to his former level of play.

If nothing else, the Warriors added a few young pieces and got their role players some great experience to build upon. They're already approx $25M over the cap without retaining or S&T Oubre, so not a lot of flexibilty (not that they should need it if Klay comes back strong). More of a question about the luxury tax repeating I guess.
