Horror Movies

Speaking of this, have you ever happened to read that old King short story where the couple goes on vacation or something and they stay overnight in this town where, as the folklore goes, it rains frogs on that particular date every 10 years?

I'm a little fuzzy on the details, been a long time since I read it; and I think there might even been a tv episode (some horror anthology series) made of it...but I remember being impressed as hell by that story; I always thought, in the right hands, it could be a great horror movie.

I remember the story but don't recall which anthology it was from. Never saw a video of it but that does not mean it does not exist.

I'm a HUUUGE Horror fan and would like to get other people's opinions on some of the best horror movies on Netflix. Gimme some options people!

I live in Norway where the Netflix selection is rather small so I don't use it. But I am sure Faceless can suggest something.

However I suggest you go back through the thread some. Lots of good suggestions and hidden gems amongst the rubble. Also some good reads in the reviews.

A funny coincidence, I came across this article today; Tons of stuff to debate here; don't even get me started on Needful Things, one of my guilty pleasures.

I will say this: Kubrick's The Shining, while starring my all time favorite actor (Nicholson) and being visually beautiful, made a fatal mistake - Kubrick made Jack crazy right from the get-go. There could be no sympathy, no empathy. You knew he had an unlikable loose screw immediately.

Throw in the fact that Shelly Duvall was a disastrous miscast and that's the ballgame.

All in my humble opinion, of course.

Anyway, this is a great list; check it out.

Not bad. I agree on Needfull Things. Under rated tale. The movie was spotty but still good.

However the list has Cujo (I found it boring), Thinner (poorly done an already weak story), and Dreamcatcher (great cast wasted. Aliens explode out of your ass?!? WTF?!?) rated way too high.

I saw a list with 90+ of worst to first King a few years ago. It comprehensively included every short video, sequel, and tv episode King related. Fun read but tracing Children of the Corn 6 back to King is a bit of a stretch.

Funny you mention that, I just recently heard about it...SyFy Channel and I have a love/hate relationship. Promos I saw looked pretty good, tho.

The weekend has to get here soon.....I'm hallucinating and shit. Day 3 of this cleanse......smoothies at Jamba Juice around 10-11am and dinner is something simple like cereal, been eating Cheerios 3 days straight (it's high in fiber). Cleaning out my gut/intestines.....I want a burger so bad.
