I used to be a football fan first, but ever since the Seahawks became massively successful, part of my interest died a bit.

Still really passionate about it, but I'd say I care more/read more/post more about the Mariners now than the Seahawks, which was way different from 2007-2011.

I have always been a baseball first guy even through this awful decade plus. Just because they suck doesn't mean I'm gonna get excited for preseason football, guys running around in shorts and debating who the sixth WR or 10th OL will be. I'll be excited in September but this next month doesn't do anything for me.

I actually think these playoffs could be really exciting. It's cool to see teams that were bad for so long like the Blue Jays, Royals, Astros, Cubs, Pirates and Mets put nice seasons together. It sucks that this franchise can't figure their shit out but I think the playoffs could be awesome

I've always been a huge fan of both sports... Pretty close to the same... Been a die hard Hawks/M's fan since 1980... I will watch both teams no matter what through thick and thin, the good, bad and ugly...

I'm not sure if maybe my expectations are just too high, but am I the only one who thinks that Felix just doesn't look dominant anymore?

Obviously, he's still a very good pitcher, but he just hasn't looked dominant since early this year.

Not getting nearly as many strikeouts this year either. There is a chance this could be the first year since 2008 he doesn't register at least 200Ks.

Just turned the game on in time to see Delino DeShields strike out. Had to look him up, cause I could've sworn he retired. Why can't baseball players name their kids anything but their own name?

Possible, but if he gets north of 200 IP, he'll be right there for 200 k. His 8.8 k/9 rate is 3rd of his career - just needs to put together enough innings. Needs 55 k in his next 11 starts (he's currently at 145 in 150 IP).
