Totally agreed.....She was nothing but a junkie..........To say she belongs up there with the top female voices of all-time is like saying brian Johnson of ACDC is top of the mens voices..........Both are just horrible.

I have to add Joni Mitchell to this and pretty near the top. I had a Joni Mitchell evening last night and it struck me what a towering genius of popular music she was. Just an amazing talent.

I may like a couple of others' voices more, but as an overall talent.. songwriting, instrumentalist, singer, originality, willingness to experiment with different forms.. she's easily at the top of my list.
