Still pissed about yesterday. I was so mad about the score being 5-2 after 8 innings. I kept watching the game thinking " please don't turn into a save situation, I don't want to see Dyson tonight" and........ it happened
With Beltre getting hurt more and more and for longer periods of time and Choo having problems staying healthy and/or productive and with the Fielder contract this team is spending a whole lot of money on guys who are getting harder and harder to count on. To have very much flexibility in free agency, should the right guys come along in free agency, they are going to have to get an influx of very good, young talent that doesn't cost much. To find out what we have I think we should trade Gomez in July and put Profar in CF for a couple of months to see what we have and let Rua stay in LF. Both of them should play everyday. We also need to trade enough veterans so that we can get some high quality pitching at the AA level or above.
I know, it is still very early, but I don't expect us to be that much better from here on out anyway. This team seems like they will be in the position to be sellers at the deadline.
That Dyson screw up really hurt. The mindset went from thinking we're probably going to win 2 out of 3 to let's just avoid the sweep and get out of here.
