Usually, you can get an exception for a banned substance if you have a medical reason to use it. Does the IOC not have those forms? Do they just not allow people to compete at their highest possible level if their prescribed medication happens to be on their list, no exceptions? That, to me, seems irresponsible.

If Sweden knows he has to take a banned substance, Sweden should have never put him on the team.

Following rules is not that hard.

Well Sweden got to the gold medal game anyway so I think they're probably glad they had him on the team

I have a feeling this is the case and as you said, it's extremely irresponsible on their part

Claritin helps with migraines? I'll have to run that by my wife. She's been taking Topamax.

Everybody knows the IOC doping lists are intense. Plenty of athletes have had to change up their medication or play through colds/allergies/headaches. It's your responsibility to know the list and apply for an exemption if needed.

I don't consider him a cheater, but I also don't think he was screwed by the IOC. Same rules applied to everyone.

So I wakeup this morning at 8:00 with a yawn and a stretch, ready to go downstairs and watch the game before there is a chance of a spoiler.
My wife looks over from the glow of her phone and says "hey, we won". And proceeds to give me the rundown before my stretch was over.

"it's nice that you're take an interest, dear".

The snowboarders probably had the most trouble with this.

They ran out of the forms when the copier was destroyed by a pack of wild dogs a couple weeks ago. Unfortunate for Backstrom.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. Before I got to the TV my wife didn't mention the score but said something about the game with a disgusted look on her face. In that case she saved me some time.

About the tournament my big question is about Price. Yeah he was OK but if they go again in 2018 can he handle the pressure he would face as a returning champion? i'm not so sure.

Oh and post 214 - Valentines post!
