I think having L Donovan on the team would be real fine about now.

Me too...still don't get that one. don't start the guy if you don't want to, but with 20 minutes left if you need to change things around he would be the perfect guy to bring in.

With Jozy out they were better. If Jozy doesn't get hurt, I think we win 3-0 or 3-1.

I don't know about that, but it certainly made a difference in our play. Thank goodness we have Portugal next and not Germany as they are in worse shape than us for Sunday.with them minus 4 we are looking great with a tie against them.

I say we got a good shot at 3 points.

He may still get called in if Jozy gets ruled out.

Are there some somewhere?

JK could have gone 0-3 in this WC and would still be 100x better than Bradly or Arena

I agree, but scour the internet for soccer message boards and believe it or not, there's a lot of "armchair GM's" who don't like Klinsmann and want him fired. I don't get it, but I'm glad they don't make the calls.

:L

I mean seriously. The guy is the best coach we've had in the modern era of USMNT. When US soccer fired Bob Bradley, I was screaming at them to call up Klinsman as he was sitting there right in L.A. looking for something to do.

He was my first choice and when the final announcement came that he was becoming coach, it was :suds: time. I knew he was a gift from the futbol gods to be there available for us like that. The right coach, the right time, the right everything. Including his demands that he would have total control over the roster and development of players. When he got that, he said yes, and the rest is been glorious.

His accomplishments?

Klinsmann’s record as head coach of the Men’s National Team is 27-10-7, including two back-to-back record-setting years.

After finishing 2012 with a 9-2-3 record, good for a .750 winning percentage to equal the best ever winning percentage to date, a year later Klinsmann led the team to an even better record, setting single year records for wins (16), winning percentage (.761), and consecutive wins (12).

The U.S. finished the final round of 2013 CONCACAF World Cup qualifying atop the Hexagonal with a 7-1-2 overall record, including an unblemished 5-0-0 home record that was achieved by keeping clean sheets in all five matches.

The team won six straight games en route to capturing the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup, during which the squad scored a record 20 goals.

Klinsmann has won a record-setting 12 straight games at home, and also led the MNT to a 12-game winning streak, the longest in program history.

Committed to challenging the group against the best, under Klinsmann the United States has a 2-1-1 record against teams ranked in the top 10 in the world.

With Klinsmann at the helm, the U.S. has collected four historic victories:

Beating four-time World Cup champion Italy for the first time ever

Earning the first win against Mexico on Mexican soil

Defeating Jamaica on the road for the first time in World Cup Qualifying

Topping second-ranked Germany in U.S. Soccer’s Centennial Celebration Match

Anyone vomiting diarrhea out of their mouths that he should be replaced deserves a kick in the balls.

The only thing that Mexico had going for it was it's home record against the US. It was the only reason left for that hellhole to exist or have any pride as a country.

Klinsmann put the final nail in that coffin. Mexico has no reason to exist any longer. The should just burn the entire dump to the ground, including that toilet bowl Azteca, and just call it a day.

Adios!

Thank god we don't play until Sunday, hopefully Jozy can recover, assuming it's not that bad. If we manage to get out of the group we will need him if we are to have a chance at doing damage in the round of 16.

Bradley needs to be better. A lot of bad turnovers and dumb plays by a guy that needs to be our best player (outside of Tim Howard).

A guy I normally trash, Beckerman, I thought actually had a pretty good game defensively. Beasley got abused. Jermaine Jones was easily our best player not named Tim Howard.

Bradley will not play that poorly next game. Mark that down. Jozy is definitely out against Portugal. Question is, does Wondo or Johanssen get the nod?

Donovan is not coming to save the day. Even if they wanted to they cannot add him to the roster. Plus he is doing work for ESPN during the World Cup.

I love it how Americans could care less about Soccer for 3 years and 11 months. But as soon as the the U.S. plays we all become soccer experts.

Is it that hard to believe there are legitimate fans who do follow the sport regularly? Several posters in here do, and I know that for a fact.

Apparently nobody on here has a sense of humor. My bad. I'll take it somewhere else.
