Guys think about this. If we beat Portugal it is almost a lock that we would secure a place in the round of 16 unless Ghana beats Germany. This group could be done by sunday night if Germany and USA win

Portugal really had a disaster of a day. Now -4 in Goals and down 3 players for the next match, including their best defender who is truly one of their difference makers out there.

If the USA can keep the scoring by them to only a goal or two and we win, we're looking real good. If Germany kicks Ghana's ass next game, they'll most likely play very conservative vs. the USA.

So far, so good for team USA. But still got a hell of game coming up next in the middle of the jungle.

Getting down to business, I am not a big Jermaine Jones fan, but he played outstanding tonight. Beckerman as well. Bradley needs to step it up - as he didn't look very good.

Hopefully Jozy is ok. Our inability to hold the ball up top really showed.

Jones played outstanding defense without a doubt.

I'm extremely unpleased with many of those passes over the top of the box in the 2nd half. We were practically handing them the ball.

Donovan would not have been a fill in for Altidore. He's basically a one of a kind in this squad. No one could fill in for him. Unless Johannsson can grow up in a hurry, it's really the worst injury that we could sustain.

What a match. Just completely spent after watching that. Can't believe we pulled it out. Lots of guys played great and played their hearts out. Personally I think Jones was about our best player tonight. Bradley looked slow and tired for most of the night. I think Ghana was just too quick for him as i expect him to be our best all around player in the Cup. Dempsey looked like he never recovered from the blow to the nose (who could blame him). I know we keep hearing Howard is a top 5 goalie from JK and people around the team, but are there really 4 goalies better? Guy is friggin awesome IMO.

Defense has come a lonnnnggggg way since the Turkey match...#ibelievethatwewillwin
