I'm with ya, in a draft with no clear alpha QB, I like the Mayfield risk most

The funny thing is the analytics say Mayfield is just that. If he's 6'2 this isn't questioned nearly as much. It's very dubious the cutoff for height is 6'2

I think you are forgetting the 12th overall pick that was at least a small part of that deal. I doubt Tampa takes 2 2nds for #7 overall.

My guess they'll go some sort of combination of Landry/Guice/Connor Williams with 33/35, but Landry/Guice would make this draft a success IMO.

Once Darnold and Mayfield went that ship sailed. Chubb is hardly a bad consolation prize if you aren't enamored with anyone else.

Eh, dont know about that....The Jets offered more money than the Vikings, and Cousins never even seemed to consider Cleveland......Think winning seemed pretty important to him

Definitely weird- but if they get Landry today it looks substantially less weird if it was part of an overall plan.

I don't think they were ever taking a QB.

They have their stop-gap QB and their QB of the Future already. If it was a new GM and not Elway, maybe they make a move at QB but odds are they only liked 1 QB and maybe 2 QBs enough to blow up their current situation.

Miller is awesome. I'm kinda with you on Chubb. He could be great or he could just be a starter. Its hard to seperate jack-of-all-trades with good-at-everything. The type of pass rushers that give the Chiefs trouble tend to be bendy, low to the ground ones and Chubb's one knock is his bend so I'm probably not as fearful of this pick as them actually fixing their QB spot long term.
