That ^^^ is reflective of a dynamic offense that scores quickly and often.

Vs....

A ball control offense whose defense is on the field let's say 25 minutes a game.

Of course the chances are a team with ball control offense will have lower yards per game.

The big stats are how much you are scoring on offense. Scoring efficiency. On defense yards per play is a more telling stat now that the numbers are so skewed by different team philosophies. Also defensive efficiency. What % of the time are your opponents scoring

Agree, he is not helping his situation at all. I would think the best strategy at this point is to bring up the lack of offense. Might be a dick move throwing the Offensive coaches under the bus, but this is a sinking ship and he needs to think about saving his reputation so he can find another job down the road.

I think so many guys got hurt last year because that's why happens when your offense sucks. The D is on the field too much and playing while exhausted...and that's when shit breaks. I wouldn't even doubt some injuries getting exaggerated because the player doesn't want to risk more serious injury for a losing cause.
