Haven't done one of these in a while, they really didn't like me picking Robert Davis lol. One trade-down in the 3rd to add a 4th. Would still need an OT prospect and an ILB imo.

Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 5: David Njoku, TE, Miami (Fla.) (A)
Round 3 Pick 8 (N.E.): Pat Elflein, C/OG, Ohio State (A-)

Round 4 Pick 34 (COMP): John Johnson, FS, Boston College (A-)
Round 5 Pick 5: Devonte Fields, OLB/DE, Louisville (B+)
Round 6 Pick 5: Shaquill Griffin, CB, UCF (B)
Round 6 Pick 22: Robert Davis, WR, Georgia State (C+)

I can't see using the 2nd rounder on a guy with a torn achilles. He's no help this year and may never be the same in terms of explosion/speed/quickness. Henderson is another small WR who's likely another slot guy, don't think that's what the Rams need either.

Man, TEs and WRs coming off the board fast on First Pick, lost a shot at my top targets by taking Elfein in the 3rd. Couldn't pass on Jones late in the third with a bonus pick from trading down, and doubled up on CB later with Wilson. Stevie could fit in as the nose between Brockers and Donald. Getting Baker pushes Mo back to SS. Golladay provides the big WR missing from the WR corps.

Latest attempt (just one trade-down in the 2nd to get a comp 3rd):

Your score is: 11838 (GRADE: B+)

Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 8 (CAR): Budda Baker, FS, Washington (B)
Round 3 Pick 5: Pat Elflein, C/OG, Ohio State (A-)
Round 3 Pick 34 (CAR): Sidney Jones, CB, Washington (A)
Round 4 Pick 5: Anthony Walker Jr., ILB, Northwestern (A)
Round 4 Pick 34 (COMP): Kenny Golladay, WR, Northern Illinois (A-)
Round 5 Pick 5: Howard Wilson, CB, Houston (B+)
Round 6 Pick 5: Stevie Tu'ikolovatu, DT, Southern California (B)
Round 6 Pick 22: Tashawn Bower, OLB, LSU (B)
Round 7 Pick 16: Aaron Jones, RB, Texas-El Paso (B)

Your Future Picks:
2018 Round 1 Pick
2019 Round 1 Pick

Walker is a good one SJ76. He is down the list a bit. Anyone of these guys is going to be pretty good. We could use two to three of them if the draft works out that way.

Ryan Anderson, Alabama - 2/27

Zach Cunningham, Vanderbilt - 3/28

Jarrad Davis, Florida - 6/14

Devonte Fields, TCU - 7/22

Reuben Foster, Alabama - 4/2

Raekwon McMillan, Ohio State - 8/19

Haason Reddick, Temple - 3/1

Anthony Walker, Northwestern

I expect most of those guys to be off the board before the Rams' 2nd pick, if not their first.

With the new lineup (at this point) of Whitworth, Saffold, Haverstein and GRob, the Rams can't blow getting either Pocic or Elfein. The Rams gave away the farm for Goff and have no chance at have a great draft. What they can do is get 1-2 or 3 players that will help now. I wouldn't wait on the center because that hole might be the only weakness that gets Gurley back to rushing for something. Depending on how the draft goes take the center with our first pick to fill the biggest need. Trade down and that might miss. When one goes away the other will follow pretty quick. I also like Walker in the 4th. Not going to bore anyone with my thoughts on the rest of the draft but if the Rams don't get a good center quick, I might not live long enough for the team to get go again.

Hang in there Blue! Apparently, John Sullivan didn't impress. McVay and Snead have stated their preference for a veteran to be acquired by free agency or trade due to the inexperience of Goff. In the meantime, McVay has stated he will "cross-train" our guards Wichmann, Brown, and Arkin at center.

I'm pretty sure they are dead set on drafting a playmaker on offense or defense at #37.

We'll know the answer on draft day!

I know they talked Wichmann last year but that was Fisher. He stayed with status quo though and that hole got us buried.:gaah::mad2:

We signed C John Sullivan the veteran from the Vikings who played last year in Washington, starting one game. He has experience with McVay's system. A step in the right direction for sure but not the long term answer.

I don't think the "cross-training" is going as planned. Wichmann has seen the center position dating back to high school but if Sullivan gets us a shoring-up of the sieve we have at O-line than I suppose go for it. But for crying out loud, I am with Blue. What is so hard in just drafting one of the beast centers and going with him? WE are also thin at LB and our secondary. WR is meh at this point. We could easily take Ju-Ju in the second and still get Elfein or Pocic in the third.

I agree with Blue! Center IMO should be our highest priority! Sure we have Sullivan now, but he is up there in age. Bring in a stud now and build the interior of our line and the rest will fall into place! :hope:

The difference between Pocic and Orlosky at center is minimal. Not sure either one comes in and starts.

Here is some interesting data suggesting the the ineptitude under Snisher. The included mock has some pretty close picks to what everyone believes will be the reality in two weeks. I like a lot of the picks in this mock.

Five-year draft breakdown

2012 2013 2014 2015 2016
Total picks 10 7 11 9 6
Starters 4 3 5 3 1
Backups 0 0 1 4 5
Other teams 1 0 2 0 0
Out of league 5 4 3 2 0

Key moves
See key personnel transactions in last week's NFL Draft Reset.

Top three draft needs
1. Wide receiver: It's been a well-established problem for the Rams, but they simply haven't been able to uncover a game-changing wide receiver. And while they added veteran Robert Woods in free agency, he isn't the elusive big-time downfield threat they sorely need.

2. Safety: Veteran T.J. McDonald signed as a free agent with the Dolphins, leaving the Rams with only Maurice Alexander as a starting safety. With precious few desirable free-agent possibilities, the Rams figure to address the position in a draft fairly deep at the position.

youtube-squared.png

3.Center: The Rams released veteran center Tim Barnes during the early stage of free agency, and while they chased Bills restricted free agent Ryan Groy with a contract offer sheet, Buffalo wasted little time matching the offer. The Rams did reach agreement with John Sullivan, but that is, at best, a short-term solution.

Let's make every Rams pick
Below is a list of every pick for this team in the 2017 NFL Draft, with players suggested by NFLDraftScout.com senior analyst Dane Brugler. Who would you take? Let us know in the comments.
