Meh. We clearly weren't close to being elite this year. Defense was bad. Offense shit the bed too whenever we couldn't just run every down.

Fickle is the weak link on this team. He must go at the end of the season. This defense is not a TOSU D.

We start with Fickell though. This guy cannot coach an elite D like Tressel produced. I hate seeing a shit defense and this is ths first step in correcting it. Then we move on to other things, this FIRST!

He is the co-coordinator with Everett Withers. If he leaves they will not be coach-less.

I'm in agreement about Fickle normally but this game wasn't on him. Dumb penalties, dropped passes, missed throws, and some very questionable play calling...not so much Fickle

It was not about just this game. It has been the last 2 years. I am getting tired of this guy, he isn't teaching the players the roght way to cover and play coverage and it shows.

Not to mention we seem to be in the wrong coverages quite often. And did you happen to notice we blitzed around the ends on the MSU rushing touchdown that sealed it? Haha they are trying to run out the clock, were you expecting an option?

Doubt that would work in a current meyer offensive scheme.

Honestly, I think the problem is the "co-coordinator" thing and neither guy really being "in charge".

They put up 24 points on a great defense so I don't blame the offense. Just like last week as soon as the offense gave us the momentum the defense would hand it right back.

No doubt Fickle needs to go unless we have some of the worst defensive talent in the Big Ten. I'd say we don't. I saw passes where Michigan State threw a ball to a wide open guy with four defenders standing around him and it happened more than once. Unfortunately Urban probably felt obligated to keep Fickle since he was the interim coach before he got there.
