So I guess from a drama and suspense perspective that is a 'good thing' ? It will make for some heart pounding endings, that is FOR SURE.
But there is some swag factor to a shut down closer. Seattle will have to wait for that unicorn.

Just quit striking out so often and please stop with the hit into double plays. I have learned to accept his .249 batting average.

If you have the MLB app on your phone click the pennant flag icon at the bottom that says 'standings'

It shows everything - number of games till E ( elimination ) etc etc tie breaker scenarios, alot and I mean ALOT can change daily these last few days of regular season

Whether it changes to good or bad is the question: That depends on Mariners wins or losses

I'm not interested in going down that rabbit hole lol. Was just hoping there was maybe a more simplistic magic number or scenario given how late we are in the season, but it's just got too many variables with all of the wildcard spots and how close teams are.

Will probably come down to the final game, and I've got to ask myself if I'm even willing to watch it. I get too nervous.

I still contend Robbie is ace quality. I know fans can’t, but if you take out like 10 innings last year, dude was best pitcher they had. I know the playoffs left a terrible taste in peoples mouth’s

So instead of throwing the baby out with the bath water, I think Servais and the other coaches should focus on trying to figure out how to stop those handful of innings from getting out of control.
