I didn’t see the game, so maybe you’re right, but I’m just going based upon the article saying that he would have 30 seconds if they had kicked and missed field goal. At the beginning of the article, it sound like he had less than that, but somewhere in that article, it said 30 seconds.

Gotcha. There was 1:39 left after the interception though. If he'd taken the TO after 1st down, then the Lions take the full 40 seconds after 2nd and 3rd, that's 1:20 so we're now down to 19 seconds left and we still haven't accounted for the time it took the Lions to run 3 plays. They'd take maybe 5 seconds a piece and we're down to 4 seconds and it's 4th down. A punt ob would kill the last 4 seconds but even if it doesn't they have maybe 1 play from inside their 20.

There was 1:39 left which means the Lions would have had to kill only 19 seconds running plays had the TO been called and they not just hiked and kneeled.. run around in the backfield 3 times then punt. Game over. This was not as big of a deal as some are making it out to be though I also wondered about it at the time.
And if they hadn’t kneeled with about 15 seconds left on the play clock time would’ve expired anyway. Both coaches kinda messed up at the end

It was unusual. I don't think I've ever seen a team, only 1 score down, not use a TO when there was still a shot no matter how remote. But if the Lions had actually run plays I don't think the Bucs get the ball back even if they didn't get a first down.

Taylor Swift is a bigger star than those 2 combined of course

I don't get all the bitching about it. It does add some fun to these games, which have been great, the game is still the game. And yeah seeing randoms actually tuning in because of it is fun too, what's the harm?
This guy said it "adds fun." Football isn't fun enough without pop stars somewhere in the building. Not for this guy.

That's what surprised me. When the Lion's messed that up, TB should have immediately called a timeout. That would have left them enough time for at least a play or two.

The Ravens opened on the border of 3 and 3.5, (Ravens 62% chance to win the game).
The 49ers opened on the border of 6.5 and 7, (49ers 74.5% chance to win the game). I thought both game lines would be more 1-sided, (Ravens 66.5%, 49ers 76%).
It's getting there. Ravens are now -4 and the 49ers are borderline 7 and 7.5. The Ravens are valued as a 64.9% chance to win with the 49ers at 75.2%.

Ravens are now 4.5 and the 49ers are still borderline 7 and 7.5. The Ravens are valued as a 66.38% chance to win with the 49ers at 75.38%. All is right in the World.
I think the favorites are where they should be.
Just isnt uncommon for one of the #1's not make the Superbowl.
Someone gets upset today would be my bet.

This will be a lot less uncommon as long as only the 1 seeds get byes. Last year was 1 vs 1 and I predicted (along with many others) the same this year, we'll see if I'm right

I made a point not to make a pick an outcome with these posts. This was about what I thought the odds should be and what the line actually was. Lines can change a couple of percentage points, especially when there isn't a strong favourite or the favourite is overpriced. It's unusual for there to be a strong favourite significantly underpriced as I felt the Ravens were here. Normally i'm very, very close with where the line should be. Doesn't mean I can pick winners, (I can't), or that beating the line is going to do you any good. I'm not an advocate of BTCL, (beat the closing line).
