I cannot explain this one. OL was terrible. Couldn't run because they get hit and fumble it away. Couldn't pass because the QB was pressured too much. Couldn't cover receivers because QB had all the time in the world to pass. Couldn't return kicks for IDK.

HC down to the KR performed like crap today, All of them.

Congrats to Minnesota for putting up 51 against Iowa today. Minnesota thoroughly embarrassed the entire Iowa Football program today. Enough said on that.

Tough road game for Iowa coming at Illinois next week. Illinois had a week off to prepare for Iowa. Not that they really needed an extra week to prepare for Iowa, but it shouldn't hurt their chances. Additionally, Illinois pulled the upset on Minnesota. So, I have no faith in Iowa to put together a winning game plan against Illinois. This looks to be another loss for Iowa if they can't get their crap together in time. Even though I have no faith in the program, they'll probably come out and thump Illinois for their 7th win of the season.

Followed by a loss at home against Wisconsin.

Followed by a loss at home against Nebraska.

I see a 7-5 for the Hawks and a crappy late December bowl game. That's 7th or 8th in the conference. That really makes me want to vomit given Iowa's soft schedule.

6-6 or even 7-5 is a disaster imo. Easiest schedule in many years and some horrible losses this year and arguably equally bad wins.

Teams that are so up and down like this tells me it's bad coaching. Kids aren't being motivated to play hard for some reason every single week. While I think the talent on this team is mediocre at best, I still think we should be beating teams like MN, MD, IOWA F--ING STATE.

Hurry up and get this miserable season over. Maybe Kirk will retire this offseason, wishful thinking.

Makes me wonder why the starters continue to start if they can't perform on game day. With no threat of being benched......this is what the outcome looks like - a lackluster performance on Saturday's.

Kirk will sign another 5-year extension at $5 million per before retiring Clem. With a signing bonus of $10 million to boot!

lol. Short of a free ticket I don't think I would attend either unless we win out (laughing) to get to a semi-decent FL bowl. Still would be tough for me to pay anything to support this team, but I guess I probably would if we got a Gator Bowl bid which is in my backyard.

I sure hope KF, and his staff, have the team ready to play Saturday. I just don't know which Jekyll and Hyde team will show itself. Sounds like the game will be played in snow...that can't bode well for Iowa.

there shouldn't be any snow, they are calling for flurries here in St Louis but no accumulation, not supposed to start til the afternoon...so if it does snow there, it will likely not be til the 4th quarter.

I agree. KF isn't getting fired. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 7-5 Iowa team heading to a bowl. If the prognosticators hold true to their projections, Iowa might face Arizona St. That's not a good match-up for Iowa. Iowa could end up 7-6 on the year.

At this point in the season, the only team that Iowa has beaten with a WINNING RECORD has been UNI! Ouch!!!

Get rid of his sorry ass. When we were up 24-7, I said "here we go, ULTRA conservative mode" and ""we're gonna lose this game".

The coaching staff is horrendous.
