FAs to target from other teams

Obviously we do not have a history of this but its fun to play:

Jarius Byrd would obviously be #1 but I doubt we pay for his services

TJ Ward would be a cheaper alternative

Donald Butler would be great


I seriously doubt if we do go after some FAs that WR would be a position that we go after but a couple that I think could do well here:

Brandon LaFell and maybe Doug Baldwin

I will stick my member to a flagpole in January if Byrd doesn't get the tag again from the Bills. And unless they use it on Alex Mack, I could easily see the Browns using theirs on T.J. Ward. Of course, that's assuming he doesn't get signed outright.

Players of that caliber just don't hit the market anymore. I'll be truly shocked if they do.

I don't pay enough attention to other teams or FA to have a clue Byrd would be nice, but I agree, players like him aren't allowed to sign with other teams much anymore. They get tagged or signed or they're too old and we're not signing them anyway.

I would say that if we hadn't given that extension to Burnett last year, we'd be a lot more interested in the FA safety market, but I think they will give him every opportunity to earn that money with the team and try to draft and develop or get someone on the cheap. They'll be using that other money to lock up a few of our own players, Shields being number 1 I think.

Byrd just doesn't want to play for Buffalo. They could have tagged him but teams will low ball them. They will at least get a third round comp pick next year
