WoW im shocked right now. Why play the Spring game if you knew you were leaving. Took away experience from our other QBs. Man this sucks. Well thanks for the 12-0 season Golson and good luck.

My issue is that he stole reps from Zaire and Kizer and if he weren't going to stay he would have gotten next to no reps. Good Luck for his next teams sake I hope he improves his turnover ratio.

Also that cleared another scholarship, if Zaire goes down the team will be in trouble though.

Oh and it would seem as though Golson doesn't like competition so they are probably better off without him.

This does hurt us because now we have no experience at the QB position and no back up QB. I remember Kelly said Kizer isn't even close yet and Malik only has a couple mins playing at this level. I wanted Malik to start but was happy to have Goslon as a back up plan. The good thing about this is Malik will get most of the reps now and it should help him more then splitting reps.

he played great when Kelly came in with a gameplan. he played awful when the offense turned into Everett scramble and find someone. Kelly is worse than players when it comes to over looking opponents. he is a mad genius when he plays the big boys (fsu, lsu, Michigan, etc). it looked like he took the wk off when they played Syracuse, navy, unc, etc. it has been going on since he got here. golson was god awful against Arizona st. no one will deny that. Kelly couldn't wait to get into the press conference and point the finger as far away from himself as possible. Kelly has been making bonehead decision after bonehead decision since he got to nd. he was lucky enough to have a defense to save his ass. he was finally exposed this past season when the defense was broken down and beaten up.

I can tell, but Golson's turnovers are what really cost the team more so than play calling. I don't agree with pointing the finger at the player but at some point Golson needed to step up and play better.

The last half of the season, Golson looked beat down. He had 2 seasons to prove himself and he never was great. ND needs to have a great QB and Golson was never going to be. It would have been nice to have him as a backup, but I am happy to know he won't be our starter.
