OK. Never heard of that before, but then teams have only recently been able to trade comp picks.

Yep, next year is the first year they are eligible for trades. Getting a 3rd for losing Jenkins to the Giants should be pretty close to a sure thing. They didn't sign a big free agent away from anyone else to counter that loss.

No, they're just looking for value. They could trade back up into the top 10 and still get a top OT.

Well, they'll definitely get their QB. It all hinges on how he does. Still hoping it's Wentz...

The bottom line is the Rams need a good QB to compete in the tough NFC West. If the Rams hadn't make this trade with the Titans, they would have probably drafted a WR and a TE and some back-up defensive help. IMO, without a good QB the Rams still would have finished at 7-9 or 8-8. The Rams haven't been to the playoffs in 13 years and haven't had a winning season in 11 years. They took a gamble with this trade to see if they can find their QB of the future. It's a big gamble, but no guts, no glory.

They already have Kendall Wright (likely slot), Rishard Matthews and Dorial Green-Beckham as starters, and Justin Hunter as the #4.

Of course, the hypothetical trade value charts, AV, and all the averages, are just that, average. The Rams are betting it all on Goff, or Wentz, to be that HOF franchise QB for the next 10-20 years. Of course, the problem therein is that it's tough to beat the house, just like vegas. It reeks of desperation for the Rams FO trying to save their job.

Those are some good players, and i do like DGB potential.. But you add a game breaking WR to that core with MM chucking the rock, it could be real good..

And as far as this trade goes, it looks pretty good for both sides when you break down rosters and team needs..
Titans have MM but need build a team around him, the Rams have everything but a QB.. On paper it looks like the Titans got the better of it, but break it down and it looks even.. If the Rams hit on a franchise QB, for get about it!!

Looks like they're already trying to.

If anything do a small trade up for conklin.

Or sit there and take maybe the Houston CB, or trade down again and take Spriggs or Nkemdiche.
