Do you buy off EBay? It's been a while since I did, because I banned myself from it, because I'd get caught up in the bidding and wanting to win.I did make a bid on some software today though, hoping I get beat, because I think I may not need it. Be OK if I win though, I'll just use it on a partition on my desktop.

I use Ebay now and then, but typically the buy out, not bidding. I've done both. And I've sold quite a few things over the years. I tend not to buy from anyone with less than 100 items sold and 99%+ rating, but that's me. Never had any real issues with buying off them. Saved a bunch of money and/or found some hard to find items related to my job.

Haven't used eBay since I stopped buy model trains stuff. Was costing me too much money and I was running out of room to store my train stuff.

Ebay is no longer a bidding site, 95% of it is a marketplace and "buy it now"

Lot of bidding going on. The problem is that folks bid to the point that it's not a deal.

I looked at it one time, seemed to be a ripoff. Most of it was gift cards I can go to WalMart and buy.
yeah i mean you can get them dirt cheap......like 100 buck card for 1.23 but you have to buy all those bids, its crazy

I didn't know how it worked, I just saw that most of the stuff they talked about in their TV ad wasn't there or always "sold." Nothing of interest otherwise.

you buy bids, like lets say 50 bids for 10 bucks, and then the timer goes down every like 10 seconds on each item offered, so you bid on an item raising its final price by a penny.......but each bid nets the company 50 cents.........so if an item sells for 5.50 cents.......the company made like 275 bucks in bidding, and then the 5.50 for purchase price........so the item sells dirt cheap, and if your lucky enough to only bid a few times, you really get a steal

Just saw a windows ultimate 7 go for $132.50, was surprised there wasn't a last minute increase, because that's what usually happens. Watching another ultimate 7 buy now for $259 or best offer. Earlier today sent him a offer of $75.00 he countered with $150.00, so I countered that with a $100. He didn't decline or except. Keeping it for insurance I think, I sure he'll get a better offer then $100.....or maybe not, could be his buy now price tag scares bidders away.

I really need to stay away from EBay.

isnt windows 7 extinct now
Well, MS isn't selling it and neither are stores (not legally anyway) but that doesn't mean you can not find it on eBay, just be leery of possible pirated copies. And Windows 7 will continue to receive security updates through Jan. 2020.

Not yet, in a few years though. If you were to go to a windows 7 forum, you would see most folks are doing what I'm doing, upgrading windows 8 and 8.1, which they have on a partition. No rush to give up windows 7. It's a great OS, that Microsoft should have milked instead of rushing to the next OS.

Walmart, Amozon, EBay, etc. are selling windows 7 and some are asking for hefty price tag.
