QB talk at 4 should be over.

Eagles trade for No. 2 overall pick in 2016 NFL Draft

The Eagles are going to be able to get a quarterback.

They just have to wait to see which one they get.

The team announced they had traded with the Browns for the second overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, guaranteeing them a shot at eitherJared Goff or Carson Wentz, depending on who the Rams want at No. 1.

The Eagles will give up their first-round pick (eighth overall), their third (77th) and fourth (100th), along with their 2017 first-rounder and their 2018 second-rounder. They will get the Browns’ fourth-rounder this year as well as the second pick.

It creates an immediate logjam, after they signed Sam Bradford and Chase Daniel in free agency, but gives them the shot at a franchise quarterback which owner Jeff Lurie so clearly wanted.

i wonder if this means they like both QBs. Would be asinine to do this and the guy you want gets taken at #1.

Boy looking at these trades, these teams better hope they hit on these QBs. That is an awful lot of picks to give up. Would be funny if Cle went QB in the second round and ended up with the best of the bunch...

Wonder how Philly's other QBs feel right now.

I am sick to my stomach now about what we are giving up. Losing a 1st (8th overall) and next years 1st, plus a 2nd next year, and a 3rd, 4th this year is absolutly a bone headed decision by our GM. If Philly drafted Zeke at 8, that takes a a ton of heat off of Sam Bradford imo. Fucking geez, we cannot build a competitive roster for 2-3 years after this deal.:L

It sure doesn't look smart with the makeup of your team, but as they say you need to give it a couple of years.

Here's the thing, if the Eagles shit the bed this coming season, the Browns will be sitting back nicely to snag Watson, which will probably be the better QB anyway.

"Eagles just agreed to pay Bradford $22M minimum and to pay Daniel $12M minimum. Now using valuable resources to acquire their replacement"

the best of all....

That is classic. It's hard to not laugh at that even if they draft Joe Montana. WTF were they thinking with the other two in the first place

Your nightmare would be if Dallas gets Watson next year:lol:

No way. Dallas will be a much better team and being in contention for the NFCE title. But yeah, that would be our worst nightmare. I pray you don't draft Zeke. I think Ramsey is sitting nicely at 4 for you guys.

We have to wait and see how the QB you draft will work out. It may work out. I wanted either QB at 4.

I know a lot wanted Wentz and a couple others wanted any QB, but this kind of works out well for us. I think it will be a lot easier for the team to agree on their board. You know taking QB or not was going to be Jerry's call and the scouts may not like one or both of the top guys and Jerry may have done it anyway. Now we can set our board and just go BPA. The only confusing thing now is whether or not to trade back and what to do if Tunsil is there. The most likely scenario is just take the best damn defensive player on the board which is I think what most of us want even if we don't agree on who that is...

You guys will get Ramsey at 4 and pick up a decent QB project in 3rd round, my guess. Grab another RB mid round and life is good in Dallas. This deal makes me very nervous. I think something else is in the works that has not been leaked out yet imo. You don't draft a QB 2nd overall to sit on the bench 2 years? The Eagles have invested a significant amount of money on SB and CD. This doesn't make sense?

Kipers last mock has Dallas getting Ramsey at 4 and Elliott in the 2nd, I very much doubt it happens but I'd be doing back flips if it does.

WTH? Elliot in the second round? I doubt very much he gets that close to us. However, if he does manage to fall close to that 24-25 range, I could totally see Jerrah hop up the board to get him with high-fives all around.
