I don't think Stafford is great by any means, but he's the best of what the Lions have access to including the draft and free agency. Unless Paxton Lynch completely pans out.

Didn't see him carry the ball one stinking time. Saw My boy Joique utilize his speed a couple times. And his power. That guy is awesome!

Never been a Caldwell fan, however let me see if he keeps letting Jim Bob call his own game. For some reason once Mayhew and Lombardi left they started playing for Jim.

My only fear with a new coach is not keeping Austin. You know I've always been a supporter of him. Get a GM worth his salt drafting the right kids for Austin, he may create a formidable D.

Now if you can tell me the next coach keeps Austin, I'm for the new guy or if he is the new guy and he calls the D until his new DC understands his scheme.

Detroit has 5 games left -- The Packers are one, it is a prime time game at home. If we can pull that one off. They have the Rams, Saints, 49ers and Bears left. All games they should win, with the exception of possibly the Bears game on the road.

How much would it hurt to run the table -- finish 9-7 and out of the playoffs still.
