RR's biggest problem was never being able to hire a defensive staff worth a damn, and the idea that we had to run a 3-3-5 (also, RR had a pretty terrible time recruiting top talent). If RR had a defense, he probably would have succeeded. Similarly, though, if Harbaugh could get a decent offense, he'd be doing fine. It shouldn't be this hard to succeed at a school with as much talent on the roster as we have. Finding a coach that doesn't have a major offensive or defensive blind spot shouldn't be as hard as we've been making it. We have the #1 QB in a class, throwing to the #1 WR in a class and we are struggling to score TD's against fucking Middle Tennessee? WTF.They tried that, it got Rich Rodriguez
Who?Some of those guys turned out really good. I'm not quite sure that is the issues here.
But Harbaugh, the QB Whisperer, shouldn’t have a major offensive blind spot. It is his side of the ball he is supposed to be focused on and it’s not like the defense has been less than serviceable the last 5 games.RR's biggest problem was never being able to hire a defensive staff worth a damn, and the idea that we had to run a 3-3-5 (also, RR had a pretty terrible time recruiting top talent). Chris Partridge would be one of them.Who?
It is fascinating to me that his one strength coming in, QB development, has been his biggest issue since arriving at Michigan. His best QB so far spent 4 years at Iowa. And his most talented QB room to date, is performing terribly. But Harbaugh, the QB Whisperer, shouldn’t have a major offensive blind spot. I don't remember that but he did do this The Controversy Over The No. 1 Jersey at MichiganWhen UofM hired RR is it true he started taking down pictures of legendary players in the teams practice facility? Or somewhere on campus. I remember hearing something like that.

Possible."RR's problem was"
"Hoke's problem was"
"Harbaugh's problem is"
Has it ever dawned on you that they're just not great head coaches?
But RR was a spread option team, not a pass heavy spread. Michigan needs to run a pass heavy spread with the talent we have.Should have hired RR to be the OC if Michigan wanted to run the spread.

He still doesn’t have his quarterback. We need to give him a couple more years for one of his QBs.Harbaugh's the problem? NO WAY! I remember 2 very special meeeechegan fans that blathered on & on & on & on & on about how JH would be the savior from day one. I wonder how much more time he needs to turn the program around? Maybe he's still dealing with Hoke's players? He just neeeeeds HIS RECRUITS to be successful dammit!
Well, Denard was basically our offense. That was part of the problem. Shut down Denard, shut down the offense. But ultimately, offense was never a huge issue under RR -- it was always the fact that our defense belonged in the B12.You guys had the 11th most efficient offense his last year. And I can't remember a single person on offense outside of Denard. You have a dude who coached WR's last year calling plays.
