Yeah, I'm not really interested in that. If you want to compare the states of Georgia vs Alabama I'll take that one. I brought up Atlanta after someone said Birmingham was the #1 market.

The point is that Alabama, while a football crazy state, simply doesn't have enough population for the networks to really care too much about.

Which is also the state that brings in the highest viewership ratings for college football than any other in the country.

The ratings may have been better in terms of percentage...but I'd bet far more people in Atlanta watched the game.

Heck. Even the state of Nebraska has more college football viewers than the city of Atlanta.

In total number or percentage? I find it extremely hard to believe that the 107th largest city in the nation from a population standpoint has more total viewers than any other city. Percentage-wise means nothing in the context of this discussion.

I agree, though “viewers” is vague. You have people who occasionally watch part of a game, done who follow their teams but no others, some who watch a good bit, and some watching all weekend. Trying to capture all of that would be a pain.
