What we have to remember here is that it was Draymond that said Silver talked him out of retiring. Really all that has to be said.
Whatever was or wasn't said, Silver for sure wants Dray to keep playing

No, but the 90's definitely were.

The 80's actually had a very good mix of finesse and physical play.

The 80's Celtics, for example, were one of the more physical teams, but they could run really well too. After Rambis got clotheslined, the Lakers learned to mix in more physical play as well.

The 90's was like if the UFC allowed 5 on 5 fights. lol

Silver wants money. Draymond Green = more money for the NBA. Of course he doesn't want him to retire.

To be fair , however - it is never good for someone to quit when things get heated. Green's image and that of the NBA both will look better if he finishes his contract without further issues. Personally - I thought they over-reacted a little bit merely because it was him.
