It was just bad timing on his part. Yes we all know the obvious that Peyton was terrible this last year. The day he announces his retirement after 18 great years in the league is not exactly the moment to be pointing that out in my opinion

Wouldn't it be 17 great years then?

Maybe 14 since he sucked ass his first few years as well?

Translation: Brady is God.

You're becoming laughably predictable, man.

That's a bit much. No one has ever said Brady is God.

Jesus? Maybe...............................

Its things like this that the media feeds us and people eat this shit up. Rarely do I give a fuck what players do or say because I am only interested in what they do on the field. Why would anyone care what DW or any other player tweets?

pretty Funny coming from a guy that wasnt available to his team for the postseason

And it ultimately being part of why that team wasn't in Denver's place in the sb.

I'm really glad that we started a thread about what a guy said about another guy on twitter. I too think that what someone tweets is a reflection of their maturity and class as a human being. When someone "attacks" someone on social media after some fans instigate an argument about a football player, the attacker should have HIS character attacked for being such a lowlife.

Note: I'm not sure what font to use for sarcasm

He's right. Manning sucked last season. No one can argue that.

The Broncos won in spite of Manning not because of him. That has been pretty well established. Not sure why Williams is just waking up to this fact.
Why did Williams even Feel like he had to attack Peyton on his retirement day? Classless act by Williams.

I was with him until he said that he didn't even know that Peyton had retired...He obviously was reading some tweets or NFL related articles...No way do you miss the fact that Peyton retired. To me that was him hoping maybe some people would cut him some slack on his timing but not everybody is the idiot that he is hoping.

Again I have no problem with what he said. Manning stunk and I would bet Manning would say that same thing about his season. Just terrible timing. I mean just to make a comparison. I have officiated a lot of funerals. Some of the people that I have spoke about even by their own families said were not the nicest people in the world. On the day of the funeral though everybody has a more upbeat perspective of the person as it is just a sign of respect even for those who were not greatly loved. Retirement ceremony to me falls in that same boat of a time you just don't speak ill of the person retiring. You remember the good and speak respectfully of the person.

Didn't you know, there are two types of people in the world. 1). Brady fans and 2). Everyone else.

Everyone else is made up of people who don't think Peyton Manning is the best QB ever. (Pretty sure that makes everyone in Asia a Brady fan.)

That guy sounds like he needs some serious therapy in his explanation...

"No. Absolutely not," Williams said when asked if he would wait a day to tweet his thoughts if he had a second chance. "This is what I've learned, and I may be a little bias, but I lost my mom a couple years ago, and when I lost her my world stopped, but what I found out was that everyone else's world kept going. So it doesn't matter if I said it that day or the day after or the day before, our worlds continue going."

When your coach tells you to shut up over twitter you know the organization is not happy.
